Work can be a bummer sometimes.....That's why I quit it 11 years ago at 52....Modest retirement, by some standards I guess, but all self-made.
Except for just completing the donation of about 50 hours over the last 2 1/2 weeks clearing a bit over a mile of electric fence line (over the river and boulders and through the woods....) and patching many poorly made splices.
If I didn't do it, I'd still be aggravated by the insidious and continuous 'pop-pop-pop' on the AM bands.......Oh, well.....It did provide good exercise (I've never been afraid of work,)- and it only cost me about $110......I severely abused a cheapo gas weedwacker from eBay and used 5 packs of trimmer line and nearly 4 gallons of 2 cycle mix.....The lower bushing is now a tad loose, but the Poulan Pro survived.
.......Clear as a bell now......I'm going to let my neighbor know I'm done and will state "I hope you maintain it as it is now."
It beats the hard-nosed approach of complaints to the FCC or local court.
The shared beauty of having fine race horses grazing next to my place is almost worth it for itself.....During the course of working on the line, I made a few nice friends....but...I digressed....No matter- done deal.
