Is it possable to include a video clip in a post using the upload attachment thing.

There's no facility for including a video in a posting, it's really not needed.
All you have to do is post the url where the video is located. Cut or Copy the URL.

When writing a message click on the URL command above so you'll see [url][/url] in your posting and then Paste the URL between the left and right brackets.

Another free picture editor program you can download is ThumbsPlus. I've used it for several years. Easy to resize, crop, change color, etc. etc.

try Art
open picture with windows then click on open windows Paint
then in top click tools I think window will pop down click on resize
a window will open then put curser in little squares where it says 100% and click then hit back space type in 60 do both of the small windows then click file and save as hmm what ever or resized

Would be nice to be able to upload audio files. I remember posting an audio clip of my AM transmitter playing through my RCA K-80 console. Used a site and the file was gone pretty quick from the site so wound up having to make it a 15 second clip and uploading as a zip file.

Either that or Photobucket needs to allow audio clips to be uploaded

My 2 cents--600 pixels wide is fast loading and big enough to see just about anything a person would want to show--and my eyes are not the best. I try to standardize the width of pics in a thread to make it fast scrolling and easy to read. Since I'm on a rant--It's nice to break up a longer post into several paragraphs for the same reason--makes it easy to read.

You can upload mp3s to the gallery, then post the link to it. Like a video, there is no way to embed a clip into the post itself.

I posted this link a while back, uploaded to the gallery. You can click on the link to play, OR right click to save to your desktop and listen on your computer.

I use PaintShopPro V5 for all my imaging and resizing. It's an old program that I've had for years, and PSP has long since been purchased by Corel, I think. An important thing to remember when resizing images is that an image for the web never needs to be higher than 72 pixels per inch, so an image could easily fall under the 800 pixel wide constraint. Just change the image size to 72 pixels per inch and resize it to approximately 4 inches wide. The length should automatically adjust if you have the program set to do so.

I have been having problems using the attachment feature from home where I use Firefox browser. I'm using IE now and will attempt to upload a picture here. This is a test only, so no need to respond...

Thanks for the tip. I've never bothered to mouse over "img" until today. Very useful when you know it exists.

Wow! This is as easy as pi. Just opened a new account @ photobucket. Below is my beloved Magnavox Transistor Sister taken under Compact Fluorescent light using Panasonic Lumix 7.2 megaPix.

I don't know what I am exactly doing wrong, the file size is 48.9Kb and it is 136x103, but is still says it is too big, I am not computer or technologically advanced, so I don't know what else I can do.

Muggins, yous image file should be on your desktop . If it is, I assume that the file is what you see in your post, a 300x233 image.

Uploading it, you will get the 300x233 image in your post. Save the shot you want to your system, making sure it is less than 800 on any given side. Upload that image now.

R.Jepsen forgot to resize his image of the transistor radio. You can see how it makes all the posts wide and you have to scroll across to see them. It'ss 1023x674 and 645273 bytes.
Often a new user will post a 3000xXXXX wide phot. It will appear but you need to scroll. Makes all the other posts too wide too. SOme of us won't bother reading a post when they have to scroll. 800x is the max.

OK here is a photo of a capacitor checker I'm selling... I resized it to 800 x 600 and am goiing to attach it as a file to this post. It is currently saved to my desktop,

I see what you mean about having to scroll horizintally when someone posts a photo wider than 800 pixels. R. Jensen, I can see the full width of your radio (3000 pixels) but it is cut off only 2 inches high. I don't know if it's my system, or the fact that I don't internet explorer, I use Firefox which is much quicker and less buggy. But at least the bottom half or your radio is not displaying.
