I searched internet and did not find this idea documented. Many years ago I discovered how to easily re-load and re-use the Eveready 266 9-volt transistor radio battery with a new, fresh and cheap regular alkaline 9-volt battery.

My YouTube description is at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-IOoT4lZW3c

The .pdf write-up may be downloaded from my SkyDrive folder at https://skydrive.live.com/#cid=A7EE38C4082053CA&id=A7EE38C4082053CA!104

Here ya go. D/L and use Photoshop to shrink it to the correct size, then print it out. Glue it to thin cardboard, cut it out and fold, and wire a new 9 volt battery inside.

Can i just use a regular 9v battery? The amperage does not matter?

Correct, the amperage does not matter.

Yes, several nine volts cells wired in parallel might give higher volume, but that's really not necessary.

The links in the original posting of this topic are broken. Here are new links to copies that I uploaded recently, of the original video and white paper.

The radio in the video is the same one I have...

Thanks for the tips on 9v batteries. I tried connecting an ordinary 9V to the connectors in the radio, viola, it works!

Thanks again
