Well, since Dale posted his Charlie McCarthy spoons here's my tale of radio related silverware Back in ’88 I was at an auction in Evansville, IN bored to death because radios were the last item they’d get to. I wasn’t paying too much attention when a box of knives came up until I heard them mention a Hopalong Cassidy knife. My ears perked up and I won the first pick for only a few dollars. I thought “not bad for a Hoppy pocket knife” as I walked up to pick out my prize. Yes, it was a Hoppy knife alright, a Hoppy butter knife! Sometime later I decided to search eBay and eventually found a matching spoon and fork to go with my Hoppy radio. Attachment:

Then I found a cup, milk carton, and plate before I decided enough was enough. Attachment:

Never have gotten a genuine Hoppy pocket knife like I originally wanted

For you Transistor Radio fans, here is a Zenith cardboard standup from the late 50's or early 60's.

When I was in first grade, I had a Hopalong Cassidy thermos! What a collector's item that would be today...

Here is a pair of Santa's advertising Philco Television. They are standup cardboard about 4 feet tall. I bought these in the 70's and assume they are from the late 40's or early 50's. Any ideas Chuck??

Anyone have any advertising for a Radiola 82? Ive been trying to find something for my Dad since I restored his 82 for him and cant find anything. I stumbled across one on a website not too long ago and I clicked on it to "save" the phot but when I went to pull it up the picture didnt save.. I would love to find something for him to put with the radio. It came out so nice and I think a little advertising would be a nice touch to "top it off" Joe

Here are a couple of Zenith covers I have, one a Lion midget matchcover for the 1938 Zenith and a Lion feature matchbook for the Zenith Radiorgan. Not sure this will turn out like I want but we will see.

Nice matches Lloyd! I really like the Zenith Radiorgan...... I love the old books that had designs on the matches like that.
Nice Christmas pieces too Merrill! This has turned into a very interesting thread with lots of nice items turning up.

Thanks, John. I have that one for the Zenith Radiorgan plus the one for the 37 Zenith same as you plus one for Automatic Car Radio. I have several from radio stations but just don't care for the matchbooks per say. I also have the Zenith Radiorgan in just a flat cover as well.

This is a flanged metal TV dealer sign. It was never used - from the Canandaigua glory days. When was the last time you saw this brand. It was built like a rock as were most 1950's Tv's.

Great piece Tim! This is a lighted GE sign which is hanging in my barn that I have had a while. It got me turned on to this kind of stuff.
