You're too quick for me. I should know how to delete one of them. Which one do you want? There is a third one on the
Obosolete Battery Set thread so if you could have two but if could just leave me one...

Nice ads! What type of a frame is that?

This is a new old stock RCA cardboard standup from the 1920's or 1930's.

Merrill: Just curious but do you have any advertising banners for Ken Rad Tube and Lamp Co, Owensboro, KY. You have a great collection and was just wondering. Thanks.

No. Sorry.
I got this the same day as the previous RCA item I put on here. I also have one of the last style boxes RCA used as well. The later one has two smaller boxes that fit inside each other. Both early and late are about 2 feet tall. I'll put them on later when the snow stops here. This earlier design, my favorite, came from our local club meet.

Since the shipping cartons are not simply plain brown boxes, I'd include them in the category of advertising. Here are some I've found over the years.

A display of shipping boxes -- now that's something I have never seen. Nice!

Lets keep this going.
Here is a 1948 Motorola TV stand up cardboard piece.

And some early boxes including AK 30, 36,40, Jewett Superspeaker, WE 540aw Speaker, A Radiola loop box, and a Tuska 227 box (wish I had the radio!)

Merrill: Do you have any Belknap radio advertising items? Great Stuff by the way. Flexiformer: Very neat collection of boxes. Great advertising!

What a cool thread. As my collection grew, I realized that advertising pieces were the only thing left that I had any room for, plus they are fantastic sidebars to any serious collection. While I have my share of ads, this RCA piece pictured below is smething I tripped on years ago. I have not seen another one anywhere. It is very delicate, made from a waxy paper. Its oval in design and meant to hang in a store/shop. It is double-faced, same print on both sides. It is very cool when lit (it has a 40-watt bulb inside), especially when I dim the lights.
Ever seen one? - Ken

Is that "have you a radio problem" a original one or a repo? As far as the RC I have never seen one. I do remember a light my mom had when I was a kid of Niagara Falls.
The heat from the bulb would spin a inner plastic piece that made it look like flowing water.

I made this about 20 years ago. The glass is the face of an old TV cabinet that was not worth saving. In the middle of the top row was a small book given out by a electronic company that I can't remember which one. It had a lot of info and stuff in it. One tube has fell out that I need to reset. In the bottom row under the battery is a business card that is probably from the 40s. Its not exactly ads but I thought with the tube boxes and the book advertising it would fit in. I hope to take it apart and clean it up soon.

This is a lousy quality photo but I'll put it here anyway. This is part of an exhibit I did of radio promotion brochures or dealer handouts from the 1920's.
