Was there another set of booklets or something else where they showed the basics of schematic symbols, reading a schematic, translating between the schematic and the actual product, how to get from schematic pin numbers to actual tube physical pin locations, the general flow of typical schematics (left to right from RF to Audio), etc?
I've been reading schematics for over 45 years so it's all kind of second nature, but it could be more than a little daunting for a newcomer. Included in this is the fact there have been various standards over the years. Tube symbols have changed (squiggle grids versus dashed grids for example). Even clarifying which grid is the Control, Screen, and Suppressor. Whether crossing wires are or are not a connection. Connections were once identified with a dot where later standards removed the whole dot and jumper symbology.
