I recently acquired a Northern Electric radio that needs a complete resto. however the only item I'm having an issue with is the paint. It is a greenish Hammertone paint; does anyone know of a source or will I have to find paint store and have this custom made? The Bakelite case will definately have to be painted as it many numerous scratches and I will try to post a picture tomorrrow.

There are many hammertone finishes available in spray cans. Try a google search and see what comes up. I know walmart carries many around here but I wouldnt know if they have the color your looking for
Good luck, hope u let us see it when ur finished!

I repainted a Northern electric with blue hammertone, It was a pretty close match, I think they make a green too, I second a Google search for it.

There are only a few companies in the rattle can market that are into the speciality paints.

Id try a few of the paint departments at the box stores and ask to see their paper catalogs which are under the counter. Not all are on the shelves but can be ordered.

Another ploy I've used when attempting to match a hammertone finish is to spray the base coat in any convenient color of hammertone and then overcoat that with smooth paint of the correct color.
