Looking for a good reproduction for my zenith 7G605 bomber. It is thick leather and is retained with pins thru slots in each end. Thanks,
BOB

Maybe they have something you could use.

I'm not aware of an exact repro, Bob. The stitching is such that none of the leather edges show. I believe the term for this type of stitching is called a french seam. Also, the handle is shaped wider in the center plus bows upward so that it can't be collapsed flat to the case. I avoid toting my TO by it's handle in case the brittle 70 year old leather gives out.

Not only is the french seam not designed to be used with leather, but it is impossible to use on items that cannot be turned inside out.

I found a pretty good facsimile on the evilbay. No french seam but at least it should fit.

Vintage guitar amp vendors have leather handles. You may be able to find a close, if not exact, match. Google vintage guitar amp and you should get a number of hits.

Bob, did you wind up using that handle? And if so how well did it work out (a picture would be great). Thanks!
