Hey guys, I picked this Admiral up today. I saw it on craigslist yesterday and went and picked it up today.
It's in good condition, a couple of knobs missing and the speaker is missing.

I'm letting the crt cook on my b&k tester to get the emissions up
I'm going to let it sit for a few more hours.

Oh I forgot to to say that the HV cage is missing too. But you can see that in the pics.

I can't quite see if there is a reading on the meter. So how does the CRT test?

Well guess what? Not only I need some knobs, HV cage, and a speaker. I also need a 10BP4  . It has horrable emissions. Something i didn't notice when I was looking at it before I bought it. It had homemade brightner put on. I didn't know what it was for at the begining or I would not bought the damn thing. Its the transformer on the back of the chassis in the 2nd pic down. Does anybody have some knobs, a HV cage, a speaker, and a good 10BP4 they want to sell?

These are really nice sets, so I would not be too worried about the bad CRT. Just go buy yourself some lousy TV with a 10BP4 in it (probably cost you $25) and liberate the CRT. Did you try rejuvination?

I tried it more than once. Running on about 9 volts, its bearly in the bad range and when its on 6.3 volts, its bearly off 0. When I tired the rejuvination it starts off bearly in the good range then it drops to almost 0. So she is shot.

I'll have to check. The wires were cut from about 6 inches from the plug.

It looks like you at least you have the original back. I'd say those are a lot harder to come by than a good 10BP4. They sure are a very cute little TV. Just be patient and the parts will come together.

Here's what I have: This speaker measures 10" between the screw holes diagonially, approx 9/12" across. Let me know if that's the size you need.

That is about the size. The original speaker had a field coil. I don't know how to hook up a PM speaker with a external field coil on it.

That's the wrong spkr.
The original was a 6" with a field coil, and, audio output transformer mounted on it.
I have that set, and, am still trying to get the spkr.

Agree with Bill.
Here's a picture of my 20X122 speaker that I'm pretty sure is original.
Possibly they had larger speaker options? I guess you could mount a larger one in there
if you're not worried about originality. There's certainly enough room in there.

I wouldn't care if it was original. Just the same size with a PM with a separate output transformer and choke in place of the field coil.

I'm just worried about getting knobs and a 10BP4.

There were some radio/phono/TV combo versions that used a 10" pm speaker.
That speaker has the choke that replaces the field coil mounted on the speaker,
along with the output transformer. The knobs shouldn't be too hard to find.

Banderson will eventually come along and clear this all up for us.

I was hoping your set didn't have a field coil because I was going to offer to send this spker to you if you could use it.

Started digging around inside the chassis today. Seeing what resistors are out of tolerance. I removed that homemade brightner, cleaned off all the dust, testing the tubes. The chassis is not too bad of shape. There was not any rust, the dust really protected the chassis.

The original resistance of field coil is 1.2K.
You could use 25 watt resistors, but, will likely have to add more filters. The field coil helps to filter the set.

I do know what I'm talking about, and, am not trying to steer you wrong, but, if you choose not to believe me, I just won't try to help anymore.
