Looking at ordering my first caps and the pricing seems to be all over the place as well as the different manufacturers. What is a decent but economical cap I can use? Looking for:
30 MFD@150v
.05@400V
.05@600V
.02@600V

The values you mention are in the old numbering sequence, hence you may find a few of them, but they will tend to be hard to locate and pricey. It's not worth messing with new-old-stock or used capacitors; buy factory fresh ones and you'll be a lot better off.

Translated to the E3 and E6 numbering sequences now in use, the 0.02 uF cap would be a 0.022 uF, and the 0.05 uFs would be 0.047 uF. Use 600 (or 630) volt ratings for all of them.

The 30 uF @ 150 volt caps may be easier to find if you look for 30 uF @ 160 volts or 200 volts.

There are many good dealers selling capacitors to the antique radio hobby, and some of them are on the ARF so you can search under capacitors for sale and find them. But any of the big electronics houses like DigiKey, Allied Electronics, or Mouser can help you out as well. The big houses only carry name brand capacitors from reputable manufacturers, any of which will be fine in your radio as long as the ratings are correct. You might be able to find no-name components on line for less money, but then it's a gamble as to quality.

I've done business with justradios.com out of Canada. Although orders take longer to arrive, they're prices are reasonable and they stock just about EVERY cap value, which I like because it keeps things original and easy to find when replacing them again later down the line.
