Someone dropped off this Motorola 17T1A. Is there any market for these or should it go to the dump?
I found an old discussion about - "two very nice sets on ebay if anyone needs them" - but it didn't say how much it ended up selling for.
I'd appreciate any information you guys can provide. Thanks!!

That is from 1951. The Sams service manual is 121-10, indexed under Quasar like many Motorola products.

Not a bad little tabletop, like many others made around that time. Perhaps some collector would like it.

Value? Maybe $50-ish in my book. Others might disagree. The picture tube, if good, may be worth more than the rest altogether. The manual says it's a type 16RP4.

Had a console combo version of that set. It worked well after new capacitors.
$35-$50 IMHO

It does have the back and all the knobs. It's also one of their better designs with a real power transformer rather than series strung tube filaments. If the 16RP4 is good, I'd definitely go $50 for it. Maybe even a little more.
