On this RCA sweep generator model WR 69A the RF Out connector has two pins. Attachment:

It's also an attenuator... it slides outward from the cabinet. Attachment:

What kinda cable connector fits this? Thanks, -Sam T.

Yes... but probably not like the one in that link. I bought one from that same series pictured in the link, thinking it would fit a piece of gear I was working on. It didn't Look closely, if the pins are centered, and there is a key notch to keep you from inserting it upside down, it is the connector Chuck linked. If the pins are offset, and there is no alignment notch it is the one I refer to below. The connector was made by Amphenol, and I think was part of the same series as the infamous single contact "microphone connector" found on a lot of old test gear. It is also used on the Johnson Ranger and Heathkit DX-100 ham radio transmitters as a connector for the microphone. Searching for connectors for one of those will get you closer. A ham radio swap meet would be a good place to look for a used one. A new one will be pretty expensive if you can find it. Good luck. Edit: found a link... http://www.ultrawebb.com/OHP/miccon.htmJohn .

Unless you want to keep it stock, I'd replace that one and the IF/video out connector with BNCs. They all take the same size hole so its just a drop in. Keeps the odd ball connector inventory down and, the BNCs are cheaper.

Am I missing something? Is there no "Delete" button in the edit function? Would make cleaning up double posts lots easier.

I've tentatively identified the needed mating connector as being an Amphenol 80-MC2F-385. Appears they come up on ebay from time to time.
Thanks for the help! -Sam T.

I *think* I have the mate to that guy. Part number on package is 046 25500. Allied/Amphenol. Female pins slightly below center. IIRC, this went to a Heathkit HW-101. Yours for a dollar apiece plus shipping. I have two (2) new in package. I'm guessing $3 to ship, so $5 total. Can post a photo if need be. Looks identical to this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... true&rt=ncDw~~_3.JPG) ~ Mitch ~

As stated previously, this connector is part of (or attached to) an attenuator - it slides outward. Attachment:

Looks like it's output is probably 75 ohm balanced. Anyhow, Mitch your connectors fit perfectly. Many thanks! Attachment:

There ya go! A nice simple mod to a BNC does the job. Myself, I would've just installed a panel BNC jack but that would affect the factory original look for some folks. The microphone jack that was mentioned differs in that it is keyed with a small "divot" or whatever the term is. Often used in old PA systems and old two-way radios.

JKM1942 - The "IF/Video out" is an Amphenol "microphone" connector, now made by Switchcraft. Look here. viewtopic.php?f=8&t=120944Peter Bertini's response in that thread leads to yet another thread with even more information. The picture was gone from ebay, but the description sounds like the right connector to me. John
