I'd bet that most of the tapes back then were Classical. This being because of the longer run times vs LPs, and the fact that it appeals to the older crowd, ie those with the bucks to afford HiFi tape units such as this one in the first place.

I qualified as the "younger crowd" back in the late 50s, and all I wanted was an AM pocket radio, a small record player, and as many 45rpm records as I could afford to buy. I didn't even know what a reel to reel tape was.

That's cause you were a barefoot-on-the-farm cornfed ruffian that used a rope for a belt.

For the most part, I totally hate rap music. However, the FM station that I listen to in the evenings on my Mark I has been playing this late 80s rap song, Funky Cold Medina by Tone Loc. I didn't know there was any rap in the 80s. Anyway, I love the beat, and the music! Search for it online and watch the video!

You are so right about that. I was going to post a link to the you-tube video, but was scared I'd get banned since the video is rated R.

Allow me to rephrase:

Lawrence,
If you decide to allow your pants or jeans to hang lower than they normally would, to reveal your undergarments, I'm afraid I will have to decline further requests for certain types of electronic equipment.
Kindest Regards,
D.R. VanCleave.

Some people have more money than they have good sense. Check the current price of this tape:

The seller's name is quite appropriate!
