Hi. New member here and glad to be with you gentleman. Need help to id several tubes.
The first 2 pics are of a Daven MU-6. Note the shape of the globe and color of the Shaw base and the color of the ink id marks.

The next 2 pics are of a similar tube I need help to id.

Notice this tube has a similar colored Shaw base and ink id marks but a different shaped globe.
I believe they are both Daven products but there are not enough id marks to be positive. Can anyone confirm that the second set of pics shows a Daven product?

This third tube is very similar to a RCA WD-12 but etched on the the glass near thew base is the id mark 117A. Very hard to see on the pic but it is there just above the base to the left of center in pic 1a. Glass on this tube is shorter than the WD-12. Unlike the WD-12, however, this tube was made using a hard getter. Any help here?

This fourth tube appears to be a Moorhead product by the looks of the internal structure but there are slight differences. Some id marks on base but not enough. Can anyone id this tube?

Daven issued the MU-6 (6V@500mA) and the MU-20 (6V@250mA) triodes according to Ludwell Sibley. Look closely and see if any of the printed traces would match the tube numbers. The other tubes are a mystery to me.

I have both the Daven MU-6 and MU-20 in my collection and they have similar shaped globes but this mystery Daven is just so close but with a different shaped globe. I have never seen a Daven with a different shaped globe but the color of the bases is nearly the same. On the base between the pins it has the same S for Shaw. The pins are made of the same material and constructed in the very same manner. Ink is the same color and has the same font but there is just not enough left to nail it. The partial tag that is left seems to indicate a different address to return the tube to than the Daven ads mention. Also, someone scratched the year 1932 on the base so it could be a later Daven product. This is all just a shot in the dark but I thought someone may have a similar tube for comparison.

Joe,

Those are interesting tubes, all pleasing to behold.

You might wish to try illuminating the unknown Daven's base with long-wave ultraviolet light in a darkened room; see if you observe remnant ink or ghosted markings. I've had only iffy success with that technique, though it has helped a few times. Am obligated to recommend the use of proper eye protection, lest greedy tort lawyers rise up and hunt me down.

No info here re the other tubes, but they are very nice indeed. Can the ( nickel-plated ?) base of the last tube pictured be cleaned up? Perhaps, if you try it before any shining up, the UV technique may produce something of interest, or not...

Your shop, as reflected in some of the photos, looks pretty impressive.
It also appears that you have much good knowledge to share here on ARF, and I hope for more of your postings.
