Hi Everyone, I received the F & H capacity Aerial Eliminator from one of our members Brian. I replaced all the wires. Has anyone ever used these gizmos? I was curios to know how it used to be wired to the radio since the advertisement says "No Power required". Any help will be great. Thanks.

Hi Ash, If it works the same as the newer ones (and it appears much the same) then the end with two leads would hook to the AC wiring of the house, through the eliminators internal capacitor, using the wiring as sort of a long antenna. Obviously the capacitor was to bypass RF, stopping the AC component from getting through. Hope I was of some assistance. Good luck! Mike

Well, just a guess--I THINK it might connect inside the radio itself. As I mentioned before, to the AC circuit but possibly to the cord of the radio itself. Without the original instructions it's just a guess, any chance of getting those?
A pic of the guts would be helpful. It is definitely not a AC line antenna eliminator. My guess would be coil and fixed cap antenna tuner that would work well with a short indoor antenna or the set's internal loop antenna.

Hi, Thanks! I have received all 4 emails with attachments. The one I have is totally different from all these. Let me open it and take some pics.
Two caps and a coil in a balanced tuner set up would increase selectivity. Only two high value caps could tune a short antenna or loop closer to the broadcast band. Same as the one with a coil but not nearly as well.
