Forum rules
The following requirements must be followed when advertising personal antique radio / TV / audio / phono items (such as discussed in the forums here) for sale in the classifieds forum::
- Titles must START with : FS (for sale) or WTB (want to buy) or Trade or Free at the beginning of the title..
- FS posts must have an "asking" price and offers may be sent by PM. Are you parting something out? ... price each major part (not things like screws and nuts)
- There must be a location somewhere in the ad or the members profile (City & State or Zip Code are the minimum requirement).
- Ads are limited to two per day, and may not be bumped sooner than 7 days after the last post to the thread.
- No outside sales links are allowed other than to pictures of actual items being sold. No links allowed to eBay, Craigslist etc.
- This is NOT a discussion forum. If you're not buying or supplying or suggesting a relevant solution, don't post - send a Private Message. Comments on pricing will be deleted.
- First to post to an item for sale stating "I WILL TAKE IT" it is first in line. Subsequent claims will be followed in the order they are posted. Claims to "Take it" can be conditional on unknowns such as shipping costs.
- Any "PM sent" posts without posting a reason for the PM will be deleted as they are meaningless to anyone else reading the thread.
- Once a deal is made, edit the title to say so and the thread will be locked
If your thread or post disappears - read the rules again - no warnings or explanations will be given when threads or posts are deleted.

Guys, here are some books that may be of interest. If you are interested, please PM me and I prefer paypal if possible. Books will be shipped from 37363. Cost is as listed plus shipping. I will try to grade the books condition as follows: let's assume a brand new book is perfect, I well estimate these as poor, fair, good, pretty good, near perfect or something like that. And basically I am just looking at the cover. This is not an exact science, but it's better than nothing, right? Here we go! The Cats Whisker: 50 years of Wireless Design, Jonathan Hill, condition good to pretty good: $10 The Sears Silvertone Catalogs, 1930-1942, by Stein, condition is good to pretty good, looks like a signed copy, $10 Zenith Trans-Oceanic, the Royalty of Radios, Bryant & Cones, good condition, $10 Philcp Radio, 1928-42, by Ron "the Man" Ramirez, fair to good condition, $10 Basic Radio by Hoag, 1942, fair condition, $5 Table Top Radios volume 1, by Stein, fair to decent condition, $10 Radio Manufacturers of the 1920's, a set of 3 hardcover books by Mr. Alan Douglas, good condition, $40 Machine Age to Jet Age, volume 1,2,3, by Stein, paperback, good condition, $30 The Portable Radio in American Life, by Schiffer, 1991, hardback, good condition The Collectors Guide to Antique Radios, 3rd Edition, by Bunis, 1987, good condition, $10 Lets take a break for a second.

Guys, thanks, make sure you PM with your shipping address and I have to dig up boxes (i never thought of that until now....) Since I have a day job (knock on wood), it may be a week until I can ship these out. Also, guys if you say you want the book, please be committed to the shipping costs. I can't pack the book, go down to the post office, have them weigh it and price it for your zip code, then bring it back up here and email you and let you decide whether you want to pay the shipping or not... I will get the absolute minimum cost shipping USPS offers and also do the best packing I can for my whole $5 of profit. I guess its a labor of love, right? Thanks.

Ok, Yes I found it hard to read the posts above. I even tried doing a search of the words just in case I missed it. If anyone else has a set I am interested. Regards, Richard

My three books, The Cat's Wisker, Sears Silvertone Catalogs and Philco Radio which I claimed following your first post, will fit in a $11.35 USPS medium flat rate box (13 5/8" x 11 7/8" x 3 3/8" size - available for free at the post office). You can pack and send in one trip. I sent a PM last night with my address. I can pre-paypal you the total immediately. No rush in sending, though. BTW - I highly recommend The Portable Radio In American Life for anyone interested in that segment of radio history. Thanks, Dave
