Apparently these weren't homebrew - but actual production models. Radio Museum has a listing for Frank Porter Co. and lists 3 models: Coriola 7 (7 tube - 1927), Superior 25 (7 tube - 1927) and the Superior 436 (6 tube - 1926).... I suspect the dates listed may be off a couple of years - Shorpy dates the picture at 1926. No pictures or schematics are included. Since there seems to be 7 tubes, the radio pictured could be a Cariola 7 or a Superior 25.....

PS - I have the speaker to the far right (on the small table) - it's an enclosed horn - Bristol Audiophone Model C......
