Does anyone have a decent and readable copy of the schematic for an RCA model 128 tombstone radio they could e-mail me? Though I appreciate the fine website "Nostalgiaair", their version of the schematic is too compressed and capacitor values unreadable when enlarged. Of course, RCA maintained proprietary control by marking all the capacitors with useless consumer part numbers that do not track even with their parts list. So...H E L P !!! Electronic mail is buyembythesack(AT)peoplepc(DOT)com. I know my vintage radio kinfolk who are as passionate about old radios as me will probably help me out of my delimma. You always do and for that I am grateful.

Sincere thanks to ELIOT NESS on this forum for e-mailing me some excellent scans of what I needed. He saved the day for me. Also, I am grateful to Bruce for his offer to send me his scan as well. See...what'd I tell you? Guys like us who are passionate about vintage radios comprise a wonderful community.
I've been struggling for a week to make sense out of the blobs shown next to the capacitors on a scan I picked up off the Internet. Now I can "get my hands dirty."
Thanks again Eliot.

I'll jump on the bandwagon. I'd like to request a scan as well. I've a Westinghouse that shares the same chassis. There is a young freind of mine that has a 128 and a decent scan and parts list would be greatly appreciated. He shares an interest in old radios ...would appreciate it and we definitely need new blood in our ranks . So Bruce and/or Eliot You can send it to capestir at yahoo.ca
Many thanks
Ken

I am waiting for parts to complete my 128 restoration thread.
With the 2 resistor boards I would definately say that this is not a restoration for someone new.

Hey Guys,
I'd like to revive this thread and get a clear copy of the schematics and parts list too. Thanks a lot.

Having done one I can attest to the difficulty (in places) of the set and in the crappy quality of some online schematics.
For a six tube set it is an excellent receiver.
