Wow, nice set though. Love to find one. Even the handle has all the stitching. I have two 780's now, great sets but only AM.

Good grief! OK, maybe I should put mine on ebay? Something smells awfully fishy here... -Steve

Are you serious? $600? I have one of these back at my parent's house. Guess I'll be having them ship it out to me!

Lol, I would have a hard time giving $15 if I were buying it for keeps.

Make no mistake, it would be a good set to own, being a fancier version of the P-780 with the addition of the FM band. I compared my P-780 sometime ago against my SR 2, and would have to judge them equal in performance. The grill on it is prolly heavier than the plastic affairs on many present day cars, lol.
IMHO 600 clams is a good 4x what it's worth.

I don't disagree but nice 780's have brought close to that recently. Didn't follow the bidding to see if they were real or not though. I paid $5 for one of mine and $15 for the other.

If the astounding fidelity of the P-780 is any indication, the P-865 in FM mode must be quite nice. Still, I like 'em all much better when they're in the ggregg price zone. Their looks wouldn't garner a second glance IMO but the pure listening enjoyment more than makes up for it.
