I have this chassis on the bench and have a schematic that has no component values listed. It requires a power supply that is long gone. Tube lineup is 5-26's, 1-27 and 2-71's along with an 80 in the power supply. I'm attempting to reverse engineer a power supply for it but without a complete schematic I'm off to a rocky start. This chassis came out of a nearly mint condition Airline console with a Newcombe reproducer. Mom really wants to hear it play again. Any advice is greatly appreciated. The schematic is for a U.S. Radio & Television Corp Model 80 but I have found it also listed as an Apex and as a Case Model 80. Thanks!

Looking at the power supply schematic for the US Radio and Television Model 80, here are some values to use:

R1 = 75k ohm, 1/2 watt (does not need to have another resistor going to the chassis)
R2 = 3k ohm, 5 watt (voltage will be higher than 110VDC on the plate of the 26 tubes, probably will be up to 150VDC)
R3 = 1k ohm, 5 watt
R4 = 350 ohm, 5 watt
C1 and C2 = 10uF, 450VDC
C3 to C7 = .5uF, 600VDC (can be lower capacitance, say .22uF)

Note that resistors and caps in the receiver will be different:

R1 = 2500 ohms? (old volume control is probably OK)
R2 = 2.2 meg ohms, 1/2 watt
R3 = 600 ohms, 1/2 watt
C1 to C4 = tuner
C5 = .002uF, 600VDC
C6 to C9 = .5uF, 600VDC (can be lower capacitance, say .22uF)
C10 = 250pF, 500VDC

The volume control has been burned up. Im not sure how but there is evidence inside it that resembles damage from a large electrical arc along with bits of slag. Definitely not what I expected. This volume pot is interesting in that it has a small spring loaded roller inside it instead of the more traditional wiper I'm used to seeing. The filter caps are riveted in place in the tuner chassis. Those would be interesting to re-stuff. Big, rectangular "Hi Volt Filter Condensers". I will probably leave them be and solder in new ones painted black to blend in a bit. Thanks a bunch for those component values. They will come in handy as I attempt this power supply redux. Any advice on that front?

So you do not have the power supply at all?

Nope. Unfortunately not.

I have sourced the filament transformers from Edcor but I'm hitting a wall on what B+ voltage should be as well as what size filter caps and choke to use. I'm not a pro at this hobby by any stretch but not a total noob either. Any and all advice is appreciated. This is Mom's radio and I would love to have it ready by Mother's Day if I can..

It may be very difficult to find a power transformer with a 1.5 volt winding for the 26 tubes. You may want to buy a junk radio, like an Atwater Kent 40, and use its power supply for your radio. The AK power supply would need a little work before using it for your radio.
