The annual California Historical Radio Society spring Vintage Radio Swap meet used to be held at Foothill College in Los Alto Hills on the peninsula. This year, the college needed the site, so venue has moved to the KRE radio station (club headquarters) in the East Bay, 601 Ashby Ave., Berkeley, 9:00AM to Noon (
only). No pre-dawn sales like the ham swaps, but don't sleep in, either!
http://www.californiahistoricalradio.com/I have gotten in over 150 radios from a collection (in addition to the two dozen or so I got in a few months ago), and will fit as many as I can into my 24-foot truck...mostly wood consoles (both early 30's with turned legs, and late-30's or early 40's with straight sides), plenty of wood table-tops, some cathedrals, a few battery sets, one or two Bakelites, no Catalins, as well as a few phonos:
