Hello, i have an admiral portable turntable. the sound is fine and the player is fine, but the speed is slower than normal. please tell me if anybody knows how to correct this. thank you.

Most likely the rubber parts are dryrotted/shot, and the whole changer needs overhauling - including working on the amp, because it's not safe to use after 50+ years. Restoration time.

lubrication helps.. quick-n-easy use aerosol lube like white lithium. if that fixes it then you know what the problem is

Most of us like to lubricate turntables extremely sparingly -- much less lubricant than you could ever apply from a spray can. The spray grease is great for the car though, hood latch, door hinges, etc. That's what it was made for.

ok, i have lubricated the parts with a small amount, however, it still plays slow, but not too slow. i do not think my turntable could be restored by myself, i have no idea on the matter  . thank you all again for the help. p.s . my player is from the 60's, so it's not too old.
