Hello Antique Radio Fans !!
I recently got two tube testers. One is the Heathkit TC-2 and the other one is Mercury 1000 Dynamic Mutual Conductance tube tester. They both look clean and seem to be working. The heathkit is actually simpler than the mercury tube tester, for me to use. Frankly I don't really know how to use the mercury, coz I don't have the manual for it.
If I have to keep one which one should be the keeper.
Looking for your expert advice.

I'd keep the Mercury.

Why are 2 testers a dilemma ?
Keep the Heathkit. It has sockets for the older tubes that the Mercury does not.

Might as well go for a third, that way you have a spare to your spare.

I keep about ten testers on hand to be able to test almost any radio tube produced. Some of my very old ones have some pretty obscure tubes listed with test data.

For what it's worth, I have a Mercury 2000 Dynamic Mutual Conductance tube tester for over 40 years and wouldn't part with it. I've had others before the Mercury 2000... "HAD". It's always good to have more than one.
