Was listening to WRDV through my two tube broadcaster and thought I'd post a couple videos. Click on the picture to view the video.

Camera was upside down here and audio from cellphone mic is not that great. Audio is from an RCA K-80 console.

My DIY MK-484 TRF radio picking up the broadcaster. The radio is located in my bedroom which is in an older double wide mobile home with metal siding and roof whereas the transmitter is in a building about 200' away.

Very impressive. Nice job! It seems that a TRF is the best choice for optimum reception from one of these transmitters, and especially during the evening hours when crosstalk is virtually absent. What two tube xmitter is this by the way?

Thanks

It is a 6GY6 kit that I purchased from someone on the forums, but I forget who was selling them. I made a few mods to suit my purposes.

I use a program called Winamp with the stereo tools plugin to feed my transmitter as it has a real nice AM transmitter setting that provides near professional quality audio and with the line in plugin I can feed anything to the transmitter and get the same near professional quality audio. Sounds similar to if not better than some AM stations.

Almost any AM radio will pick up this transmitter quite nicely.

Thought I'd upload better quality audio of the transmitter. Audio is from an RCA K-80 console radio.

Has a bit of hum from the console. Think it is something with where I have the transmitter antenna located.

You will have to download the file, but will give you the option of saving or simply playing the file.
