I'm looking for some very Dark almost maroon toner for a guitar project. I've looked on line for some, but find that to get a $7.00 can of toner, it will cost me $21.00 for hazardous shipping etc. Any local chain sources out there that carry it ? Dan

I'm guessing by your west coast accent ( and the fact is says Anza, CA under your name) that your zip code is 92539. Next you go to Mohawks website ( I'm assuming you want to use Mohawk brand lacquers ) and punch in your zip code here (Find Distributers). http://www.mohawk-finishing.com/find-a-distributor.aspxI did just that, but could get no response, kinda like the site wasnt working at the moment. It wouldnt give me any results for my zip code either. Give it a try, maybe it will respond to you. I have used that function in the past and got the names of distributors in my area.

I just used the live chat feature, its at the bottom of each page. They were quick and helpfull and they emailed to me all the places that sell Mohawk products in my area. They said that they know about the problem on the website and are working on it. I have to travel a ways down the road to get to the hardware store that sells Mohawk toned spraycans. No one sells their products here in RI so I gotta travel about a 1/2 north into Mass.

If you have a "Woodcraft" store near you, they sell a large assortment of Behlen toning lacquers. or http://www.Woodcraft.comthey didn't charge me a special handling or hazardous container shipping fee. Of course I ordered 2 dozen assorted toners. http://www.woodcraft.com/Stores/Default.aspxactually it looks like the closest store to you is about 75 miles away..... oh well, the closest one to me is 125. ~jeff~
