Hi
It's a crystal used in color TV oscillators. 3579.545 is the crystal frequency.

Likely a crystal of that type was used in TV station equipment.

RCA used those in some of their color sets in the 1950s. My CTC-7 has one.

I got one of those. Standard "color burst" freq ... well use to be. Cute packaging. I'm saving mine for a project where I can show it off. Lot of chips, needing a xtal timebase, picked that freq, due to how common it was. So its use expanded beyond color TV. Of course, most of those rocks, come in the more common metal cans. Unfortunately, most of the chips that used that freq, are out of date, too. Maybe my next uC project can use a freq that low.
