I had a Ham buddy W7KTI- SK that had his entire basement ( about 30' X 28') hamshack wall papered with QSL cards, even the ceiling!!! He loved to contest.
I managed to pick up a few very old QSL cards from another ham's estate that were PRE-WW2 from Japanese hams and one from the US Aircraft Carrier Langley before it had the flight deck fully modified. I literally pulled them out of a trash can. There is some real radio history I managed to save.

Someone had a drawer full of 20s/30s cards at Dayton last year, I think it was. They were semi organised but all you could do was flip thru them to hunt. I have considered having cards made up in vintage style but have not gotten around to it. Please, no round tuits in the message box! Thanks.

Those were the good ol' days. Back in my youth, before becoming a HAM, I shot skip on 11 meters often, and traded lots of QSL's, which inevitably became a goodly amount of wallpaper, like that pic. Then Dad figured out what I was up to, with his citizens band license, and he could clearly see the distances involved were waaaay over the 150 mile limit. Never saw those QSL's again...
