Never saw one like it, but looks like it's made for 78-rpm discs only.

They used these in the late 40's RCA radio/record player consoles

I know for a fact that that is a General Electric, year date around 1947-1948, and I am pretty sure it will play 10'' and 12'' records, very nice player you have and in amazing condition, great find & a great player.

Thanks for your information, I appreciate your help. Is there a market for this sort of record changer?

It's a Seeburg model L, custom built for RCA Victor. RCA Victor model number 960001-1 with RCA's Silent Sapphire pick up. Here is the RCA Victor service manual http://www.nostalgiaair.org/PagesByMode ... 015287.pdf

Thank you all for your help, I appreciate it. It is in exceptional condition - I mistook it for NOS. Cord was cut though.. Please let me know if anyone is interested in it. Thanks again.

Sorry for mis-informing you, I have a player that looks identical to this one, just with a different tone arm, my apologies.

Jon Easy mistake -- I don't know for sure (maybe some early-changer experts here could fill us in), but I'll bet it's quite possible that Seeburg made variations of this same or very similar changer for many different manufacturers in the 30s - 40s, with only slight variations in the design of some of the "visuals", like the tone arm. That's exactly what Voice of Music did extensively in the 50s and early 60s - had outwardly different-shaped tone arms and controls for different resellers, on essentially the same working parts changer. - Bob
