I'm looking at it tomorrow. I'd like to take a shot at making it slick and shiny to see if anybody will pay a lot. Seller says she uses it as a daily driver. With AM/FM and airplane dial, could be a winner. For $35 asking price, might be a good deal.

If she's asking 35, offer 25. That should shine up nice and would be a good score at even 35 dollars.

If the "General Electric" logo and letters are recessed, which it looks like they are, you can use WATER based white hobby paint to bring new life to the logo. Walmart sells small containers of it in the craft section for around $1.50 each. Just dab on filling the letters with no worry to the mess. Wait a few minutes then wipe off the excess with a damp rag. I've done this to several radios and it improves the look quite a bit.

Yep, it's the same dial as mine. I have the wood version (212) then there's this brown bakelite (210) and finally an Ivory model (211). I don't think I've ever seen the Ivory one. Maybe it's painted bakelite ?

The brass logo in the upper-left will polish up real nice.

My top is badly weathered. I tried polishing, washing, oiling, etc. Still looks bad. Maybe a coat or 2 of lacquer will be required.
