This should be moved to the classifieds where it could be of some help to you.

Why should this be moved to the classifieds?

Make one the manual is below cost about $10.00.
To buy one on line can cost up to $100.00 an over.
all of the socket abapter of that type are the same.

Because he's not asking what model adapter he needs,he already knows that from the title of his post.

He then writes,"looking for the adapter to test newer type, compactrons, novar".

That pretty much tells me that he's looking to buy one, which is usually done by posting in the classifieds, not here.

Actually,no they're not. When I sold the G-140 I had recently(about $30),the person who bought it was concerned about it working with his tester.I looked at the Eico/Coletronics and Precision schematics and noticed that there are some socket wiring differences between them.

Mike

Yes there is some socket wiring differences between Eico/Coletronics and Precision schematics.
The G-140 is wrong a 7 pin nuvistor’s does not have a pin 3 and 5; it should be 2 and 4.

But it not a problem there is no tester that will test a 7 pin or 5 pin nuvistor right. Even the Lab RCA 100A will not test them without a mod.
