Hey folks. Not everyday you get to see Amos and Andy's autographs. Just thought this was an interesting E-Bay auction. Link goes to the auction:

Very interesting. Bidding was spirited. 32 total bids by about eight different bidders as near as I can count.

I would have thought it would go for more than $117.50

Thanks for the link.

Regards,
Ron

They got a steal at $117.50
I didn't follow the auction, as I felt it would go much higher.

Interesting. I have Lum and Abner's autograph, as well as Fred Allen and Burt Gordon (The Mad Russian). They weren't terribly expensive.

Sorry if this is old news, but:

Are people aware that a guy has been recreating Amos and Andy shows on WBCQ 7.415 megacycles, normally around midnights? He has the scripts for the unrecorded shows and does a pretty good job of recreating the whole show!

I don't know if it's on purpose, but WBCQ is pretty bad about playing the right episode. It's not at all uncommon for the same episode to be played 2 days in a row.

wbcq's signal is also pretty bad at that time in some areas of the US, and although they seem to have some sort of video feed, they don't have 7.415 board audio live on the internet anymore. Also in a lot of areas forget it over the winter.

He's been on wwcr, anyone know if he's trying other times or sw stations?

Ed is still recreating the shows. He's in 1939 now.

He's on a live365 stream.... the schedule is here

http://www.live365.com/web/components/c ... carlyradio

but basically it's a day by day mirror of the day in 1939 (not the date) on weekdays at Midnight, 8am 4pm and 8pm eastern, with the entire weeks shows (all 5 back to back) Sat and Sun at 6pm eastern.
