Good Evening, Just bought my first 2000, and it looks as though some major cleanup and recapping may be in the works. I have searched several pages on this forum and don`t seem to find a lot of info on these, which I guess is a good thing. I am a mediocre tech but I love to do my own work, and right now I`m on a tube chassis Zenith. But my question is, does a schematic for the 2000 exist online somewhere available for download and are there any threads on the 2000 someone can direct me too? I`ve been away from the hobby and this forum for a long time do to cancer but I`m feeling better and ready to tackle these two Zeniths. Thanks for any help. Jim W4KBD

My Royal 2000 has a schematic glued inside the back cover. It looks like it was done at the factory. I might be able to scan it. Otherwise, the complete service information is in Sams set 560, folder 19. Several people are selling this folder on ebay. Here is one source:

Mine has a glued on schematic as well. I just got (practically stole) one off eBay. It seems to work well out of the box except for a very dirty volume control. Schematic is in TSM-16 or folder 560-19.

Thanks for the tip. TSM-16 isn't listed for the Royal 2000 in the Sams software index but it is listed in my printed versions.
