anyone know how the dial mechanism on an Airline 62-288 "miracle"radio works? I have a radio in prime condition but the dial mechanism is gone. It appears to have been a red filmstrip type affair, but with no pulleys its a little hard to imagine how this might have worked. Thanks, Leno

The service info in Rider's has some pictures and explanation. Have you seen that?

I have seen that and didn't notice any dial stringing information, can you deduce from the small details in the print that there is a pully on the end of the capacitor that connects to the film strip or ribbon?

No, I couldn't. Kinda hard to figure out the dial string arrangement from those drawings. I checked the Sam's Dialstring Guide and, alas, your model is not listed.
