I am restoring a GE LCP-609 in which the oscillator coil has been eaten by mice. No value is expressed in the parts list, only GE's part number.

I see a "universal" oscillator coil in the AES catalog (P. 37). Do you think there is any chance this would work?

Thanks,

drbill

Hi

Universal coil is only for broadcast band. It will work unless a radio has short wave on the same coil.

the LCP-609 is a 1942 model GE AM band only radio therefore yes the Universal Osc coil should work just fine.
