Stromberg-Carlson Model 130-H, 1938

Stromberg-Carlson was sometimes refered to as "the Rolls-Royce of Radio." They built fairly large top quality sets, but the description was perhaps less than accurate ... McMurdo-Silver and Scott made some "built-like-tanks" radios with impressive chromed chassis' that are much sought after today. Perhaps "the Mercedes of Radio" would be more accurate? Some of there most striking sets were made in the mid-30s with the octagonal dial that this set exhibits.
