Manufactured from 1936 through 1939, this set is notable for being made
out of three different plastics. Available in seven different color
combinations, this one sports an ivory Plaskon case with a yellow
Bakelite top and a yellow grill of Tenite. Tenite is a plastic affected
by heat and warpage of Tenite parts is very common. The grille bars on
this set have minimal warping. The sunburst pattern in the dial
indicates that it is from the later production run of this set (earlier
versions had a plainer patterned dial).
Shipping
These radios have a very heavy chassis and it is held up from the bottom
of the cabinet, making it susceptable to easy breakage. For this reason
the radio will be shipped in two sperate boxes, cabinet in one and
chassis in the other.
