I have an opportunity to buy this tomorrow. It was brought back to the US from South Africa where it used their ac voltages. Is $100 reasonable? I know, I know...If I like it... :)

Why not ? It looks good , you like it and it is not a radio you see every day.

If it has the original finish and that grill cloth is original, I'd say it's well worth it. At least it's an upright R/P and not a side by side setup. Do you even have an electric 78 player in your collection? If not, maybe this is more of a justification to get this one. When will you ever come across another opportunity in acquiring a prewar R/P especially out in the South West?

I like it......l like it. Looks like the usual re-cap and rubber wire. Change the bus on top of the transformer and wall plug, there you go. Craig
