I just noticed the similarity of these two radios that were recently on eBay; an Arvin midget superhet and an Ivalek crystal radio. Almost identical but not exactly. Is this style within the "Deco" category, or something else? Max

I would say that style is on the trailing edge of American art deco, in a subcategory I would call Streamline. Horizontal lines and a lack of sharp edges and corners.

Seems more like somewhere in between "streamlined" and "deco" but that's just my opinion.

I would call it Machine Age. Although Art Deco is possible due to the asymmetrical shape.
