This is a GE model M 106, which has the same chassis as the RCA model 262.
It took a while to get the chassis all done because an IF can had a shorted primary,
but with the help of some of the guys on this forum I managed to get it working very good.
The cabinet was a different story, as it came to me with the top off and it did not stand up very well on it's own.
Here is the result of my work.

Wow, sounds like it had a rough life.
Nice work Dan! Its got a new lease on life!

That chassis is very well built. I have the RCA 262 with the 1V detector and it worked very well even on Band D which goes to 36 MC!

You really brought back the elegance of that console. Other than automobiles or jukeboxes, radios from the '30's are one of the most beautiful 20th century items. Great work.

The radio does sound quite good. I always like it when there is no hum between stations.
It has 10 tubes with two 76 drivers and two 42 output tubes so it does sound good.
