Well, Well, finally getting into the realms with the big boys and away from the Philcos. Just picked this model up, It's my first Stewart Warner. It still was with the original family that had owned it since new. Absolutely gorgeous radio, though it's interesting to see how far the lacquer had deteriorated. I've never seen one get lighter, some of the lacquer was changing to a sort of white color (But the black looked fine). I seem to recall that most of mine ended up darkening. Either way, after a little bit of elbow grease the cabinet is starting to look like it's original self. I'll be refinishing it soon. The Chassis only had three capacitors replaced, one electrolytic and two wax papers.

Can anyone find a better grill cloth?

You were lucky to find that with the bandswitch. Most are missing. Craig

Yeah, it's a very unusual knob, though I am missing the tuning knob hopefully I can find one at one of the swapmeets or on here.
