My 4787 isn't as nice as the one pictured, but it's in my top 3 favorites I own. It has a beautiful mellow sound and great sensitivity - PLUS- EVERYTHING stylewise stated in your article. It IS a dial stringing nightmare, though (every indicator on it is string driven, and mine needed almost all of them) !

I used to have a 4787, but it had much delamination and cabinet work needed, so I ended up deciding to let it go.

I sold it to Terry Layman in Kentucky. I'm not sure what he ever did with it.
