I have not seen a K80 with this cabinet before. The top photo.It is a FrankenRadio? The ones I've seen look like the bottom photo.

And, the extra knob rotates the loop antenna... guts are the same.

I used to have an RCA K105 with that loop control.
Basically a spedometer-like cable which goes from the knob to the loop. Pretty nice idea to be able change reception direction from the front panel, which RCA first used in the 1924 Radiola Super VIII

I was going to pick it up for cheap, and then suddenly the guy quits communicating, and raised his price by $100. Good luck with that, dude.

It was a 50 or 60 dollar radio. Someone probably told him it was RARE!’n

One of his listings (  ) says, "Gone through by a professional electrician." Someone probably reseated the tubes, reconnected one of the grid caps, straightened out the antenna connections, and Presto! It works!
