Post subject:  Zenith 82 in custom cabinet

At the Monios auction in Michigan a few weeks ago, I picked up a Zenith in a custom cabinet with a clock above the dial.

I've seen this cabinet before, but I'm having difficulty finding pictures of it. Seems at least one other had a Zenith chassis installed.

Anyone remember them? I know they were posted here, likely in the "Online Auction and Sales Forum"

Thanks for any help.

Nice cabinet!

Electronically restored?

Hi Lenny, nope as far as I know its unrestored.
It was in the addendum list of radios, so I'm not 100% sure it was part of Nick Monios' collection or not.
May have been a consignment? I don't know.

Nice radio, Steve!

My wife caught me daydreaming this morning, and I admitted I was imagining a house big enough for all the radios I want. She replied, "That would be a huge house!" Yeah, it would. :)

There was a similar cabinet with a clock, in the old Muchow museum, but it was a bit taller and had fancy inlays. It housed a Scott AW12 2 dial set. I suspect it was made by the same company that
made your cabinet.

I did find this one. Probably another from the same manufacturer.

Sadly way TOO many photos are disappearing. :(

Have you tried looking on the internet archive site?
https://archive.org/

I've managed to find old pictures, pdf files, and other things that were linked to but just no longer hosted for one reason or another this way.

This is also why I contribute so much to RM.org. I assume my pictures will survive there a little better than other places.
