I saw this add tonight will looking at FB Marketplace and thought I would share. Maybe someone here has a big truck for hauling this away. Seller says its all or nothing. This is not mine and i am not affiliated in any way with the seller.

I would love a shot at the widget if anyone on this forum bought the collection.

If I ever run across one, I'll let you know.
I think those things are hideous

Hideous is what makes them so collectable. They look like fossils. You have to wonder what was going through the minds of the people at Crosley to ever to have thought of marketing such a wacky looking line of radios at the beginning of the depression. You also have to wonder just what kind of a person would have bought such a radio. Obviously people did buy them and they must have liked them as numerous examples survive to this day, some in very well preserved original condition. My favorite is the Crosley "Buddy Boy" and someday I'll have to add one to my collection. The Crosley "Widget" definitely tops the list of "What the hell were they thinking of" radios.

Probably market to those who are into Halloween and Goth. Though, i don't think the genre really caught on in popularity until well after the Widget was made.
