That would be a stiff price for a simple audio VTVM, but that one has auto ranging.
That's very rare in service grade test equipment.

The seller is open to best offers.

I appreciate it if you see any mistakes. Let me know, so I can correctly fix a listing before I receive another negative review for trying my best.

This must be that one negative review: https://www.ebay.com/fdbk/feedback_prof ... &sort=TIME

My gut feeling sides with the seller on this one.

The first time I read it I scanned it quickly and only about half way thru I realised he's NOT selling the equipment .... just the catalogue pages ....

Even with 10,000+ items for sale, I really don't see any evidence of fraud or account hijacking concerning this seller.

I don't think there's anything fraudulent happening .... he's just wording his titles to attract as much attention as possible and it makes them a bit confusing.

OOPS! I read it quickly. I picked it up as a meter including the catalog pages.....
I'm SO glad I don't deal with eBay any more.

It's easy to tell it's a catalog since there's no pictures of an actual unit and it's listed under "Books & Magazines - Catalogs", so I don't think there's any intentional deception. But $42 for this catalog is beyond insane. This is something you would pick up for $5 at a swap meet or flea market.

Somebody who needs the catalog may not want to spend their time hunting around at swap meets till he finds it, and $42 isn't what it used to be. Time is valuable, especially when you're older.

Seller states US $42.00 or Best Offer so who's to say he won't accept $10 for it or even $5. Everybody seems to be so hung up on the initial asking price that the option for counteroffers is completely ignored.

Generally such prices are an indicator for what they will take on offer
Yet one could throw a low ball. Result is they could yes, no
Worse is they take a low ball as insult (or wast of time) and block you from purchasing from them.

You'll never really know one way or another until you make a counteroffer and take the risk.
