I am not a console guy but I would make an exception for that one in a heartbeat if it wasn't on the opposite coast!

They'll probably ship it but may want to do that outside of eBay to avoid the fees.

Just about to post this, any ideas on who made it? Almost looks like a fantasy piece.

Is it really a console? I know it looks like one, but I don't see anything in the photos that I can use for a good size reference. Is it possibly a tall tombstone?

Yes, that's all I could see for scale, and that's what makes me think it's not a very big set if it's a console.

Ok, so a little bit smaller, but not too much. It would be a nice size for a smaller home.

That is not factory. Look close at the details on the top and bottom, it's all hand cut. Things do not line up in almost every place on that thing. I think it's someone's home project. Maybe they pieced it together with an outer shell of a console.

I don't think anyone is going to find this exact version anywhere else. It's gotta be worth a fortune, it's a one-of-a-kind!!

It seems to have the same proportions as a Majestic 666. I have a Sonora chassis with an oval dial and a sparton cabinet
that seeing this get my mind in gear. change the front panel add some flutes with carved spear ends. I think it might be possible. I wish my cabinet was narrower.

Why are there four screw holes outside of the dial?

Image

Those are the same knobs that Midwest used on some of their 1935 models.

Duh! Isn't it obvious!?? If you haven't figured it out already I'm not going to spell it out for you.

Seriously though, that cabinet (outer edge) looks like a Midwest. The middle with all the flutes is what appears man-made, but I think they used a Midwest cabinet as the "bones" so to speak. Have no evidence to support that, just a gut feeling based on the look of it. There's a very good chance I will be wrong.

The oversize power xfmr and the tag indicate it was for another country... where? Is that Spanish "registrada" ? I am thinking Euro or South American. Transformer can probably run 25 cycle.
