Yesterday one of the blades in my wire stripper burned out. qj5429 has replacements at much lower prices than other places I found, and he has them in stock which many of the other places don't. He has 100% positive feedback but I don't particularly trust ebay's feedback system. So, has anyone used him and with what results?

Here are the listings:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Stripall-Thermal-Wire-Stripper-Notched-Blade-001-312-2/220475225727?hash=item335558f67f:g:d-EAAMXQdm5Q-6G6

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Stripall-Thermal-Wire-Stripper-Blank-Blades-001-312-1/223263002855?hash=item33fb8310e7:g:tloAAOxyQ45Q--4M

Digi-Key, Mouser, Allied, Newark, Elliott, and EAE don't list these parts.

Thanks

I may or may not have used that particular eBay seller in the past, but he appears to be reputable. In fact, even though the seller claims not to accept returns, eBay would likely refund your money anyway if those items weren't as advertised. Personally, for only $2.75 including shipping, I wouldn't give it a second thought on ordering them.

Agreed; U.S. based seller, 100% + F/B, less than 3 bucks, what's to think about?

I wonder how he makes any money at all; $2.75 with free shipping doesn't leave much room for profit.

As cheap and silly as these are, they really strip wires effortlessly. I have been using them for years and have been very impressed with them. When it wears out, you just throw the whole thing away.

Seriously?

To OP:

Tell you what. PM me your mailing address and I’ll mail you three crisp one dollar bills. Then whoever is stressing/wondering/thinking about a $2.75 eBay listing can move on to other matters.

Guess I'll just keep using my faithful Xcelite strippers but it was interesting reading about the Stripall Thermal Wire Strippers.

Jim, the guy has sold a lot of them and still has 100% feedback so I'd say you're safe giving him a shot, especially if everyone else is out-of-stock, plus it's less than $3.

OK, let's wrap this up.

I ordered 4 sets on Monday June 10. They arrived yesterday, June 14. I installed one set in my stripper. It fit and operated properly. The only peculiarity is that the little envelopes they came in didn't have a part number on them. They only had a description and a note to reorder through ebay; obviously not factory labeling. The only conclusion that comes to mind is that he bought a bunch in bulk and packaged them himself. It's hard to imagine that anyone would bother to counterfeit such a specialized, low cost part (unless I am seriously underestimating the market).
