They are similar!

But, the Howard cabinet doesn't have the horizontal slats go all the way around the cabinet like the Zenith does.

Sparton made one of the most unusual dial arrangements ever.

Interesting how it fit right in that cabinet section perfectly. (width-wise) Maybe they were selling some of those chassis as upgrades at a local radio store or something... "bring in your old, worn-out radio and we'll bring it back to life with a modern chassis upgrade!"

The styling feels mismatched to me- Art Deco plus Atomic Age. It's not awful but it throws me.
