I haven’t seen many of these offered with the Flash-O-Matic tuning. Cabinet needs a good amount of work. Maybe for $100.00 max.

I saw that one too. Definitely an fairly easy resto if you have basic refinishing skills. That flash tuning is very, very cool. Love to have one of these with it working properly.

IM surprised it wasn't sold already. I have one I restored a few years ago, love it. I just started a post under Radio discussions on silvertone. Silvertones gather here and starts out with my 4588, maybe someone will get that one on eBay after seeing my radio restored.

Someone from our radio community here really needs to get that Silvertone 4588 and restore to its former glory, that isn't a bad price for that set, that's if you can drive there and pick it up.

When you get close to a strong channel the end of the dial pointer will come alive and light up very cool. The style of the dial itself is something, being lit up and playing music in a dimly lit room will bring a long ago type feeling , and that's like really any antique radio that your playing, at least that's the way I feel. Sounds and sites of the past.

That cabinet is beat. Chunks of wood missing, glue joints falling apart, etc. I just think that there are not many people with the skills or desire to give this cabinet many hours worth of work it needs.

That radio has been for sale for a long time... he was asking a fortune for it to start with a year or so ago and the price is slowly getting whittled down...
