It's too far away from me, but it looks like maybe a repair shop? Tons of radios shown in the pics, including a literal pile of chassis. Hopefully the more complete ones can all find good homes, and it looks like a good place to hunt for parts if you've got anything you need to finish a project.

Too bad it's not closer to me; I'm at the stage where I'm looking for as many W's as I can get to improve my skills.

Plenty of serious "Fixer-Uppers" I see some desirable ones in there, but wow they all look like they were pulled out of the city dump.

Yes, parts galore!

There will be some cherry picking but the seller will eventually sell off the whole pile for whatever someone would be willing to pay for it. It truly is a parts salvagers dream but that's about all it is.

Whoo, just from looking at the photos my head is closing up and I feel a sneezing fit coming on.

I'd be as concerned about molds and hantavirus as anything else. Bet it smells nice and musty in there.

Ad states $1. That's about what the whole collection will be worth after it's been cherry picked. It would cost the seller more to have it professionally hauled away then it would to have some collector pay him $1 for the privalidge to do the same. At least, that way, the seller will wind up ahead in life by $1.

I cleaned out a repair shop back in March that took up half of an old musty basement that was full of dust. I foolishly did not wear a mask and ended up sick with bronchitis a week after. I had plans to sell most of this off at swap meets... then the pandemic hit... so a bulk of the estate still sits in my garage

Don't tell Kirk, he has had way to much to drink and already drunk.

Agreed. Every radio Kirk sees looks like a mint Zenith Stratosphere to him, no matter how bad a shape its in.

I am really hoping to find a trim bezel for my zenith chairside. That would make the trip worth it for me. Does anyone else see a part or radio they must have? Making the trip friday.

Well...I made the trip today.

I picked out 5 parts table radios that were missing knobs / broken cases / otherwise very rough. Also found a few older speakers with ripped cones, and a couple boxes of parts. The guy spent a very long time looking at the pile from several angles. Then he said how about $450.

I made a very generous offer of 100 for 4 radios and the guy says no way. So I spent 3 hours in the car for nothing. Its not far from Estes, so it may end up there soon when he cant sell it all.

Another clueless seller who uses EBay for pricing, no matter what the condition.

Estes sells radio collections, not junk piles.
